Obituary: Robert W. Shaw

Robert W. Shaw, 83, a Carson City resident for 20 years, died June 30, 2000, at Carson Convelescent Center.

Mr. Shaw was born Feb. 3, 1917, in Schenectady, N.Y., to Charles and Mrs. Shaw.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired professor.

Mr. Shaw was preceded in death by his wife Jean, who died in 1996.

He moved to Carson City 20 years ago from Illinois.

Mr. Shaw is survived by his son Martin of Carson City; daughter Roberta of Lemmon Valley; two sisters, Gay Clements of Schenectady, N.Y., and Jennie McCartney of Maine; and four grandchildren.

No services will be held. Cremation will be through FitzHenry's Crematory. FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City is in charge of arrangements.
