Court Appointed Special Advocates of Carson City starts a new training session today at 5:15 p.m., third floor of the courthouse, Roop and Musser streets. Anyone interested in becoming a CASA of Carson City volunteer is welcome to attend this initial training session with no obligation.
In Carson City, CASA volunteers are appointed by the juvenile court to advocate in court and in the system for children who have been removed from the home due to abuse or neglect.
