Western Nevada Community College will dedicate its nursing labs today in honor of two strong supporters of its nursing program - Albert V. Lane and Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
The dedication will be held at 4 p.m. in rooms 219 and 220 of the Cedar Building and will be followed by tours of the nursing department until 6 p.m.
Lane has donated to nursing scholarships and contributed a Rolls Royce to the WNCC Foundation to be raffled of which raised $13,000 for the scholarship fund.
He has also provided updated computer software.
Carson-Tahoe Hospital has contributed a half-time nursing faculty position to the program, provides scholarships and offers clinical experience for nursing students.
