Annual historical society book signing and sale set Dec. 18

The Nevada Historical Society will holds its annual Christmas book signing and sale Dec. 18 at the historical society in Reno.

Among the authors on hand to autograph their books will be Dwayne Kling ("The Rise of the Biggest Little City"), Dixie Westergard ("Dat-So-La-Lee"), Gayle Moxley Pyle ("I Am A Child of the West") and Raymond Smith ("Carson City Yesterdays").

Everything in the store will be 10 percent off.

In addition, the society's latest exhibit, "Path of the 49ers, Photos of the Trail Today," will be open.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. Dec. 18 at the society behind the Fleischmann Atmospherium-Planetarium at the north end of the University of Nevada, Reno campus.
