The Carson City Fire Department's "Kid Safe Program" will hold a child safety seat checkpoint on Sunday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The checkpoint will be at Mills Park in the parking lot of the Pony Express Pavilion.
Carson City Fire Department officials said the last checkpoint had 134 seats pass through it and found that only four were properly installed.
Firefighters urge all people using child safety seats to stop by the checkpoint and help them improve the safety of children in Carson City.
