Girl falls into pond, flown to Washoe Medical Center

A two-year-old girl was helicoptered to Washoe Medical Center on Thursday after she fell into a pond on Foothill Lane.

According to broadcast reports, the girl was underwater for two minutes before she was pulled from the pond.

East Fork volunteers responded to the Foothill home and transported the girl to Douglas High School in Minden where the girl was airlifted by Care Flight.

The incident occurred at about 5:18 p.m. Paramedics reported the girl was breathing on her own, but slowly.
