Letter: help keep the linear park

Help! The state transportation plan shows a bike path/ linear park

paralleling the new bypass. This is wonderful news. With existing and

planned bike paths, this will connect the new Boys & Girls Club with Mark

Twain, Seeliger, and Fremont Elementary Schools as wellas Carson and Eagle

Valley Middle schools, and Carson High School.

Governor's Field, Edmonds Field and lots of neighborhoods will be connected by the bike path too.

This pedestrian way will prevent Carson city from being divided in two by

the bypass. What could be better. But wait! The Nevada Department of Transportation is trying to amend the plan to get rid of the bike path. Please let Gov. Guinn know if you think this is a mistake by calling his office at 684-5670.
