Letter: One way to get back at cable TV: Take it out

I have lived in Carson City since 1989. I went to Radio Shack and bought their biggest TV antenna for about $130.

My house sits on my lot east and west. I put the antenna in my attic, main part of antenna pointing west toward Reno. I have four televisions, or 40, 26, 26, 19, all of my channels are really clear and I get CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox station KREN, KNPB and Spanish station and church station and UPN.

So about two years ago I thought I would try cable. All it did was go up, finally going up to $51 a month. So I told them come take it out. The guy that came to take cable out could not believe how clear my TVs were. He said he did not blame me. So people take the cable out, don't complain. If enough people take it out maybe they will change their ways.
