Library can help you recycle ink cartridges

Carson City Library is the city's designated location for picking up a special envelope which can be used to recycle ink jet cartridges. By utilizing the postage paid envelope and dropping the package in the mail, you can recycle used printer cartridges. Instead of throwing these items in the trash, take advantage of prepaid program.

Although it may not seem like a significant quantity of solid waste, each cartridge does contain plastic and ink residues that are non-biodegradable. Carson City governmental offices use this program as another step in its recycling program. The library was selected as a pickup point for the project due to the high volume of foot traffic coming through the doors of the Carson City Library.
