A celebration of life for Andrea Benson, 29, of Dayton and a lifetime Northern Nevada resident, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Benson died March 16, 2000, at Washoe Medical Center. She was born Oct. 15, 1970, in Meyers, Calif., to Robert and Anke Vorbeck Hagedorn.
Mrs. Benson was a secretary in the real estate business. She enjoyed nurturing animals and plants. She was very outgoing and loved life and also loved dogs, horses and horseback riding. She attended the Vinyard Christian Community Church.
Among her survivors are her husband, Grey, of Dayton; father, Robert Hagedorn and mother, Anke Hagedorn, both of Gardnerville and brother, Pete Hagedorn, of Gardnerville.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue Foundation, 28 Hwy. 95A, Yerington 89447 in her memory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
