Carol Elaine Sellman LaFollette, 73, a Las Vegas resident for the past 21 years, died April 11, 2000, at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 21, 1926, in Hollywood, Calif. to William Alexander and Bessie "Nana" Irene Sellman.
Before moving to Las Vegas, she lived in Hollywood and El Monte, Calif.
Mrs. LaFollette retired from the Clark County Health District in 1996. She was a loving mother to her family, hundreds of friends and animals.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepmother, brother and nephew.
Among her survivors are her husband of 56 years, Orval Eugene "Gene" of Las Vegas; son, William Alexander "Bill" and wife Karin of Sparks; daughter, Sarretta Ann "Sal" and husband Mike of Loyalton, Calif.; grandchildren, Paul, Carolyn, Darla, Ryan and Courtney and grandchildren Christopher, Sierra Rose, Caitlin, Alexander, Dillon, Bradley and numerous other relatives.
A memorial service was held at the Community Lutheran Church in Las Vegas with cremation at Desert Memorial.
