Obituary: Gyneth E. Hoover

A memorial service for Gyneth E. Hoover, 93, a Carson City resident for the past five years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Hoover died June 20, 2000 at her home. She was born Jan. 14, 1907, in Livingston, Mont., to Howard T. and LuLu Davis Roe.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Grass Valley, Calif.

Mrs. Hoover worked as a hospital housekeeper and retired as head of the department. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the American Legion. She loved to travel and her true passion was bowling. She was a Protestant.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, Barbara Springmyer and Margene Orzalli, brother Howard Thomas Roe and sister Harriet Roe.

Cremation will be at Walton's Carson City Crematory.

Inurnment will be at Sunset View Cemetery in Berkeley, Calif.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
