Obituary: Joan "Summer" Sapp

A memorial for Joan "Summer" Sapp, 36, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, was held Sunday.

Mrs. Sapp died June 14, 2000 at her residence. She was born May 21, 1964 in Frankfort, Germany to Lewis Wells and Luise Bachert.

Prior to living in Carson City she resided in Reno.

Mrs. Sapp was owner of Romantic Image in Carson City.

She was a member of the Carson City Chamber of Commerce and past member of the Soroptimist International of Carson City. She sponsored numerous activities in the Carson City area. She loved life, traveling and shopping. She loved all her friends and especially, her daughter, Dyllan.

Among her survivors are her parents, Lewis and Luise Wells of Laughlin; husband, George Sapp of Carson City; daughter Dyllan Skye Sapp of Carson City; sister and brother-in-law Alexandra and Ron Veeren of Laughlin, one nephew and one niece.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home in Carson City was in charge of arrangements.
