Ruthie N. Van Fleet, 74, a Minden resident for the past 21 years, died Dec. 26, 1999, at Carson Health Care. She was born Sept. 2, 1925, in Kingsville, Texas, to Paul and Maggie Loraine Simmons Dunn.
She married Haymond Van Fleet on July 15, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas.
Before moving to Minden, she lived in Thelba, Ariz., for 10 years.
Mrs. Van Fleet was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and interior decorating. She was a devoted wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her sister.
Among her survivors are her husband, Haymond, of Minden; daughter, Sherry Toland, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; brothers, Ken Dunn of San Antonio and Derick Sheldon of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren.
Cremation will be at Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.
Walton's Douglas County Mortuary, Minden, is in charge of arrangements.
