Obituary: Travis Owen

Travis Owen, 80, a Carson City resident for the past 22 years, died March 17, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born April 4, 1919, in Texas.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Los Angeles.

Mr. Owen was a mechanical engineer. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a great poker player.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rozelle, Oct. 8, 1993.

Among his survivors are his daughter, Diane Goldman, of South Lake Tahoe; sons, Don Famularo, of Las Vegas and Michael Owen, of Florida; sister, Margie Palmer, of San Francisco and five grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Carson Sierra Crematory.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
