A funeral for Verna S. Kunter, 82, a Carson City resident for the past 43 years, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Kunter died Dec. 24, 2001 in Carson City. She was born March 8, 1919, in Marvin, S.D., to Martin and Dena Rassmusen Lauritsen.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Monterey, Calif.
Mrs. Kunter enjoyed playing the piano and accordion, needlework and crocheting.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters and son Larry.
Among her survivors are her husband of 64 years Henry of Carson City; sons Jim of Carson City and Dennis of Angels Camp, Calif.; daughter Kathleen Judd of Seaside, Calif.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
