Obituary: Eupha L. Wright Harvey

A service for Eupha L. Wright Harvey, 73, a Silver Springs resident for the past 27 years, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harvey died July 15, 2001 in Carson City. She was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Abbott, Ark. to John E. and Maude E. Lyle Wright.

Before moving to Silver Springs, she lived in Carson City for 10 years.

She graduated from St. Margaret's Hospital School of Nursing in 1961.

Mrs. Harvey was the director of nurses at Carson-Tahoe Hospital from 1966-72 when the old hospital burned. She graduated more than 250 nursing students during her years teaching. She was a community college professor of nursing at Western Nevada Community College from 1972-87 and worked for Carson-Tahoe Hospital Life Stress Services from 1987-1995. She was a member of the Nevada Nurses Association and Eastern Star. She was a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Among her survivors are her husband of 38 years Kenneth, of Silver Springs; sons Michael R. Fenn and Ron Harvey, both of Carson City; daughters Cheryl E. Moreland and Marie Johnette Schooley, both of Carson City, Penny Henesh of Bozeman, Mont., and Shirley Ann Harvey of Dayton; sister Elaine Ballard, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and 12 grandchildren.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Western Nevada Community College, Eupha Harvey Nursing Scholarship Fund.

Fitzhenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
