Obituary: Cherry Williams

Cherry Williams, 80, a Carson City resident, died July 28, 2001, in Carson City. She was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Bishop, Calif., to Charles and Mae Brown Culver.

She attended Bishop Elementary School and graduated from Inglewood High School and Santa Monica Junior College.

Mrs. Williams owned and operated a sporting goods store and beauty salon at Crowley Lake for several years. She was a member of the American Contract Bridge League and enjoyed playing bridge in Carson City with the "Magnificent Eight Bridge Group."

Among her survivors are her daughter Anne Williams of Carson City and sister Jacquelyn Cheeseman of Bishop.

At her request, no service will be held.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
