David G. "Sonny" Sturges, 67, a Silver Springs resident for the past 25 years, died April 20, 2002, at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1934, in Napa, Calif., to David Sr. and Valda Sharp Grant.
Before moving to Silver Springs, he lived in Marin County.
Mr. Sturges was an avid fisherman and a NASCAR fan.
Among his survivors are his son Dennis of Stagecoach; daughters Diana Sturges and Denice Morphew-Sturges of Carson City; sisters Sallee Calico of Stagecoach and Lois Willis of Dayton; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be at a later date.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
