The Gaming Standards Association adopted the International Game
Technology SAS 6.00 protocol as an official GSA specification.
This vote clears the way for manufacturers of gaming equipment to begin implementation of the SAS 6.00 protocol in their equipment The IGT SAS protocol allows for communication between gaming machines and slot accounting systems and provides a secure method of communicating data from the gaming machine to the on-line monitoring system.
