Big 5 leases space in Sparks

Big 5 Sporting Goods leased 10,880

square feet of space at Silver State Plaza,

located at North McCarran Boulevard

and Prater Way in Sparks, next to

Mervyn's. The lease and opening of the

retail store by Big 5 marks the first fullservice

sporting goods store to open in

Sparks. Big 5 is scheduled to open on

December 16, 2002.

Grubb & Ellis|Nevada Commercial

Group completed the lease.

and co-owner of Grubb & Ellis|Nevada

Commercial Group, said Silver State Plaza

has recently completed the first phase of

its $3 million renovation updating the

facade, with the parking lot and landscaping

to be completed in spring of 2003.

Big 5 operates 263 stores in 10 states

Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho,

Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas,

Utah and Washington.
