Armed robbers sought by police

Police were looking Friday for two people, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun, who walked into a North Carson City convenience store early Thursday morning and robbed it of $200.

The bandits' images were captured on surveillance video when they entered the 7-Eleven in the 3700 block of North Carson Street at 2:55 a.m. Thursday. It was not clear if both robbers are men.

According to police, the shorter of the two robbers, whose face was covered with a dark bandana, held the shotgun as the taller man, who wore socks on his hands, ordered the clerk to put money into a bag he brought into the store with him.

The male clerk was the only person in the store at the time. Both bandits left the store walking north and out of the sight of the clerk.

The taller thief is described as a 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall with light-colored hair and a goatee and moustache. He was wearing light-colored baggy pants, a dark hooded pullover sweatshirt or jacket, white socks on his hands and white tennis shoes.

The shorter suspect is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing baggy blue jeans, a dark-colored hooded pullover sweatshirt with a heavier blue coat over it and black gloves.
