Man wanted for questioning in death

A Carson City man is being sought in connection with the Sunday shooting death of a Douglas County resident.

Christopher Fiegehen, 22, is described as 6 feet tall, with blue eyes and shaved blond hair with brown roots, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

Fiegehen was last seen driving a 1994 blue Ford pickup, Nevada license number 821KWZ. He was "possibly seen in the Truckee area earlier today," according to the sheriff's office.

Sources close to the victim said that Fiegehen had recently broken up with his girlfriend and she was getting a restraining order against him.

The woman had recently moved back in with her parents, who live in Douglas County, reportedly in the Johnson Lane area.

The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Deputies also warn that he "may be in possession of a firearm."

Douglas County Sheriff Ron Pierini was contacted Sunday evening, but declined to provide additional details.

"I don't want to say any stuff I shouldn't be saying,"Pierini said.

Lt. Kathy Tadich, a Sheriff's Department spokesperson also wouldn't comment on Sunday about the incident, though promised that more information would be provided today.

Anyone with information is asked to contact deputies at 782-9935 or 782-9905.

Fiegehen is the adopted son of Carson City computer pioneer Allan Fiegehen, co-owner of Cubix Corp. and managing director-co-owner of the Ormsby House.
