Obituary Charles "Chuck" Kenneth Collings

A memorial service for Charles "Chuck" Kenneth Collings, 36, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Religious Science Church of Carson City. Minister Thomas Honesco will officiate.

Mr. Collings was born May 4, 1965, in Reno to David and Mary E. Bishop Collings.

A lifelong resident of Carson City, he died Feb. 12, 2002, in an airplane crash in Gardnerville.

He was a 1983 graduate of Carson High School and worked as an aviation mechanic for Mansberger Aircraft at the Minden-Tahoe Airport. He also enjoyed designing, building and flying experimental aircraft. He enjoyed restoring automobiles and and worked as an auto mechanic at one time prior to his involvement with airplanes.

He was a member of the Art of Living Spiritual group in Carson City and a master graduate of the Rapport Institute in Las Vegas and was the 1983 Nevada state champion of tae kwon do.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1987.

He is survived by his mother of Carson City; a brother Brian and sister-in-law Brenda of Carson City; and a sister Cathy Collings of Nevada City, Calif.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
