Reward offered in robberies

Secret Witness is offering a reward of $1,500 each for information leading the arrest of suspects in two separate robberies earlier this week.

The first occurred Sunday at Cigarettes Cheaper next to Raley's on North Carson Street at 6:40 p.m. when a white male entered the store and brandished a weapon, demanding cash from the clerk. The armed robber is described as in his 30s, approximately 6 feet tall, thin build, with blonde hair in a ponytail, goatee and moustache. He was last seen heading north from the store carrying a brown paper bag.

In an unrelated incident Monday, a robber walked into the AM/PM gas station on South Carson Street about 10 p.m. and waited in line behind other customers. When he got to the counter he handed the clerk a note which stated, "Give me all your money, I've got a gun."

The clerk put an undisclosed amount of cash into a brown paper bag and the robber fled the store on foot. No weapon was seen.

The Carson City Sheriff's Office has surveillance footage taken from the store's camera of the robbery .

The robber is described as a white male in his 40s, approximately 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with a brown, scruffy beard.
