Helen P. Tope, 88, a Carson City resident for the past 22 years, died Jan. 8, 2002, in Reno. She was born April 7, 1913 in Westons Mill, N.Y., to James and Caroline Pardon.
She married F. W. Tope Nov. 19, 1938, in Palm Springs, Calif.
Mrs. Tope owned a pet shop in La Canada, Calif., and wrote articles for the Glendale Newspress. She loved the Sierra Nevada.
Among her survivors are her husband Wallace of Carson City; son Dennis of Tehachapi, Calif.; daughter-in-law Carole Tope and grandsons Brett and Eric.
No service will be held.
