Obituary for Douglas Lyle Twitty

A prayer service for Douglas Lyle Twitty, 58, a Davie, Fla., resident, will be March 20 at St. David's Catholic Church.

Mr. Twitty died March 7, 2002, in Aurora, Colo., while traveling. He was born Nov. 12, 1943, in Chicago, to Lyle and Ruth Smith Twitty.

Mr. Twitty worked as a floor supervisor in casinos across the country for the past 34 years. He had been a member of Optimist Clubs around the United States and was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Carson City.

He was preceded in death by his mother, son Brian James and a grandson.

Among his survivors are his son Douglas of Tampa, Fla.; daughters Paula Twitty Bushman of Davie and Suzanne Pedone of Tampa; brother James of Atlanta, Ga.; sister Helen Wilson of Denver; eight grandchildren and six great-nieces and nephews.

Fairmount Mortuary in Denver is in charge of arrangements.
