Obituary -- Daniel Frederick Harold Frederickson

A service for Daniel Frederick Harold Frederickson, 72, a Carson City resident for the past 47 years, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with a Rosary at 10:45 a.m.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mr. Frederickson died March 17, 2002, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Spokane, Wash., to Broer Daniel and Matilda Johnson Frederickson.

He married Eda Giovacchini Sept. 20, 1952, in Ely.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Ely.

Mr. Frederickson retired from the Washoe County School District in 1992 as a facility engineer at Incline Village High School. He was a member of the Elks Lodge for 47 years, Knights of Columbus for 43 years and active in a barber shop quartet. He was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathleen in 1992.

Among his survivors are his wife Eda of Carson City; son Richard of Antioch, Calif., and Tracy of Stockton, Calif.; daughter Rebecca Frederickson of Sacramento, Calif.; brothers Robert of Spokane, Wash., and Allan of Fernley; grandsons Jackson Hantzche of Antioch, Calif., Stryder Smith of Salt Lake City and Josh Frederickson and Keith Frederickson, both of Stockton; granddaughter Lisa Hantzche of Antioch and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
