Obituary Margaret Rose Stone

Margaret Rose Stone, 87, a 46-year resident of Virginia City, died March 20, 2002, at the Carson Convalescent Center.

She was born Sept. 25, 1914, in Rutland, Vt., to Joseph and Betsy Mae Carter Jasman.

Mrs. Stone was a cook and waitress who spent her early life in Vermont and lived in Silver City before moving to Idaho. She then returned to live in Virginia City in 1957.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in law Richard and Doreen Bacus, Douglas and Wendy Bacus all of Virginia City, and Larry Bacus of Elko; a brother Claude West of Rutland; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
