Mike Roby has been named general
manger of Thunder Canyon, a private golf
and country club in Washoe Valley.
Roby most recently worked at the Jim
McLean Golf School at PGA West, where
he earned the designation of master
instructor. He also has worked at a number
of golf resorts in the Rocky Mountain and
Pacific Coast regions.
Roger and Gayle Block, owners of
Thunder Canyon since 1999, said they will
turn over day-to-day
operation of the club to
Roby.
