Obituary for Joanne E. Beckett

A funeral Mass for Joanne E. Beckett, 63, a Carson City resident for the past year, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

A Holy Rosary service will be at 5 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Beckett died Oct. 23, 2002, in Reno. She was born Oct. 8, 1939, in Orange County, Calif., to John and Agnes Collins Fore.

She graduated from high school in Orange County.

She married Alan Beckett Jan. 2, 1982, in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Huntington Beach for 35 years.

Mrs. Beckett was a homemaker and a certified driver for handicapped people in Orange County. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.

Among her survivors are: husband Alan; children and their spouses Michael and Nadia Foeldi, Joseph and Laura Foeldi, Chris and Suzanne Foeldi, Michelle and Andrew Ostrowski, Maureen and John Shaw, Cathy and Rick Wisser and Sue and Nolan Fossum; daughters Gerriann Foeldi and Mary Hardy; sister Sherry Cochran; 14 grandchildren and uncle Bill Collins.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Inurnment will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery at 1 p.m. Nov. 1.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Corpus Christi Catholic Church Building Fund, 5335 Snyder Ave., Carson City.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
