Corvino named Nichols onsulting president

Nichols Consulting Engineers, a Reno-based

pavement research and engineering firm,

announced last week that it has appointed

Claude Corvino president and chief operating

officer.

Corvino's appointment is part of a company-

wide restructuring, said the firm. "We believe Claude's

vision, 25 years of experience and commitment to success will

help lead our company in the right direction," said Jim

Nichols, founder and CEO, in a prepared statement.

Corvino was most recently president of Harding ESE, a

$225 million company. He holds a bachelor's of science in

engineering geology and a master's of science in civil engineering

from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Nichols Consulting Engineers has offices in Reno, Santa

Cruz,Calif., Oakland, Calif., and Tacoma, Wash.
