Advocates to End Domestic Violence needs trained volunteers to help with the aftermath of domestic violence. Lisa Lee and her group do such a remarkable job behind the scenes of our town.
Domestic violence is often a silent crime The victims are generally women and children who finally stand up for their lives and need support to get through the ordeal.
Starting today, Advocates to End Domestic Violence will train qualified people in a two-part session consisting of six classes.
Helping Advocates raise money is Bill Burnaugh from Capitol City Loans, which is donating a car to be raffled off at the Taste of Downtown. To order a $10 ticket, call Advocates.

Saturday is the Italian Fest Spaghetti Feed sponsored by the Carson City Jaycees and the Carson City Kiwanis. Pooling their resources, they are hosting a family night out with food and games to benefit children and seniors. The money-raised goes to help other great city programs.

April 30, role playing, tour of Classy Seconds, handing out of certificates, setting up one-on-one opportunities.

What: Gene Milligan will present the difference between the Republican and Democrat parties. Also, the finalist for the Agatha Kain Scholarship. Call by May 18 to reserve seating.
