Rich Atkinson, the chief financial officer of Sierra Pacific Resources, is leaving the Reno-based utility to take a similar position with wood products company Pope & Talbot Inc.
in Portland, Ore.
Atkinson held the CFO post about a year; he was with Sierra Pacific for 23 years.
