The newly-formed Nevada Youth Sports Development Inc.
has proceeded with plans for the proposed Reno Ice Dome 500, a multipurpose facility that includes a recreational ice park, winter sports training complex and a 6,500-seat event arena.
The 175,000-square foot venue will be built on land owned by the Reno Hilton and located just north of the hotel.
Architectural drawings and construction plans were made public at a Winter Wonderland Gala Dec.
10 at the Harrah's Ranch in Reno.
In addition the project has attracted the attention of Nevada agencies such as Nevada Commission on Tourism, which will lend its support to make the venue a reality.
