Colonial Bank has hired Gary J.
Karsten as financial consultant for northern Nevada; Nick Butler as commercial lending officer; and Margarita Genio as assistant sales manager for the Prater-McCarran branch.
Karsten is responsible for recruitment and college planning.
He also handles investment products such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, annuities and insurance.
Prior to joining Colonial Bank, Karsten worked as a financial consultant for A.G.
Edwards and Sons.
Butler is responsible for the expansion of new commercial loan business.
Prior to joining Colonial, Butler worked as a portfolio manager with Irwin Union Bank & Trust in Carson City and as an assistant counselor for the Nevada Small Business Development Center.
Genio is responsible for daily branch operations, maintenance of controlled accounts, implementation and facilitation of quality customer service procedures and the preparation of branch reports.
Prior to joining Colonial Bank, she worked as a new accounts representative with Heritage Bank of Nevada.
