Schumacher has been named president and director of Reno-based SulphCo Inc.
A finance graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, Schumacher previously was with Woodburn and Wedge, working in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions.
Sulphco is a publicly-held company that is developing the use of ultrasound to remove sulfur from crude oil.
