Obituary: Alta M. Williams

Memorial services for Alta M. Williams a 25-year resident of Carson City will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Capitol Christian Center.

Mrs. Williams died Jan. 3, 2003 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was born Oct. 27, 1917 in Burley, Idaho to Joseph L. and Pearl Taylor Bates. She was 85.

She attended high school in Twin Falls, Idaho, and was a homemaker and nursery attendant at Capitol Christian where her son was an associate pastor.

She was a life member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints.

She married William Raymond Williams June 26, 1033 in Twin Falls.

Prior to moving to Carson City she lived in Bishop, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and six brothers and sisters.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Terry and Cynthia Williams of Dayton; daughters and sons-in-law Sherry and David Goodale of Carson city and Madonna and Chuck Nichols of Livermore, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A private family burial will be held at Lone Mountain Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
