JobConnect helps fill jobs at new operations

Nevada JobConnect, a statewide employment network assisted Denny's, Round Table Pizza and Starbucks Coffee hire more than 170 people for new operations in Reno and Carson City.

Denny's, which just opened a location in South Town Crossing Shopping Center, turned to Nevada Job Connect for more than 100 workers.

Nevada JobConnect put on a one-day job fair at an existing Denny's location and a two-day job fair at the JobConnect location inside Reno Town Mall.

Roundtable Pizza needed 37 employees to staff a new location in the South Town Crossing Shopping Center.

Nevada JobConnect provided a list of jobs from its job bank and advertised the available positions.

Starbucks Coffee used the services of the Carson City Nevada JobConnect office to employ 35 people for its roasting plant in Douglas County.

Nevada JobConnect held job fairs, listed jobs in its extensive statewide job bank, screened applicants, and scheduled interviews.
