The 5,000 vehicle registrations available for this year's Hot August Nights sold out last week.
Registered participants in the event Aug.
3-10 event will come from 37 states and three provinces of Canada.
Registered vehicles are those that participate in formal events such as cruises and parade.
Other auto enthusiasts who come to Reno during the event won't be able to participate in those events.
Organizers estimate that last year's Hot August Nights event generated about $90 million in local economic impact.
Registration for the 2002 event sold out in May.
