Carson plant's product line sold

Wilson Greatbatch Technologies said last week it sold non-medical product lines made at its Carson City facility to KEMET Corp.

of Greenville, S.C.

The product lines that were sold account for about 10 percent of the revenues and employment at the Carson City plant, but a Wilson Greatbatch spokesman said revenues from medical products made at the plant are growing more quickly.

The plant employs about 150, and the company spokesman said it's unknown what effect last week's transaction will have on employment.

Wilson Greatbatch will supply KEMET from the Carson City facility during a transition period.

The plant makes capacitors and filter products.
