Barnes has joined MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc.
as senior principal engineer/ office manager in the company's Reno office.
His career involves work as a project manager for the Reno-Sparks Convention Center; the redevelopment and feasibility plans for the Sparks Marina Infrastructure Plan; and the Northeast Sanitary Sewer Interceptor for the City of Sparks.
A graduate of University of Nevada, Reno, Barnes is enrolled in the MBA program at UNR.
He is a registered professional civil engineer in Nevada and California, and a registered Nevada state water-right surveyor.
He is past president of the Reno Central Rotary Club; state vice president of American Public Works Association; a board member of the UNR Alumni Association and Executive Board Member of Leadership Reno/Sparks.
