Irene Wood, 79, a Carson City resident for the past 25 years, died July 7, 2003, in Carson City. She was born July 7, 1924, in California, to Cecil and Lillian Brooks Strang.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Las Vegas and California.
Mrs. Wood worked in the accounting department for the state of Nevada for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, in 1999, in Carson City.
Among her survivors is a brother, Donald Strang of California.
At her request, no service will be held.
