Ed Epperson, chief executive officer of Carson-Tahoe Hospital, has been given a four-year extension on his contract by the trustees of the nonprofit hospital.
Epperson's contract now runs through June 30, 2007.
He has been with the hospital since 1994, serving as chief operating officer before he was named CEO in August 2001.
The trustees lauded his work at managing the existing hospital while also building a new hospital at the north edge of Carson City.
