Jury says Fiegehen guilty

MINDEN -- Christopher Fiegehen, 24, of Carson City was found guilty Tuesday in the Feb. 10, 2002 murder of Al Chorkey and attempted murder of Chorkey's wife, Lorelle.

The jury returned guilty verdicts of homicide, attempted murder with the use of a firearm, burglary, and invasion of the couple's Becky Avenue home in the Johnson Lane area of Douglas County.

The jury, which began deliberations Monday afternoon, returned a verdict at about 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The Chorkeys are the parents of Fiegehen's estranged girlfriend, Alane Dockstader.

Fiegehen was arrested April 9, 2002, by campus security at Vincennes University in Indiana after a nationwide manhunt.

He faces the possibility of life in prison at sentencing.
