Merger boosts CB Richard Ellis

The merger of CB Richard Ellis, a Los Angeles-based real estate company, with Insignia Financial Group should broaden the services available through the Reno office of CB Richard Ellis Michael Schnabel, who heads the Reno office of the combined company, said Insignia didn't previously have operations in northern Nevada.

"We will now have a local presence in Northern Nevada for the entire Insignia universe," he said.

"This combination will make CBRE the driving force in the economic development of our community."

The combined companies have 250 offices in 48 countries.
