Satirist Durst keynotes Carson chamber event

Will Durst, a satirist and political comedian, keynotes the Carson City Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Installation Dinner June 26.

At the dinner, the 2003-2004 chamber officers and directors will be installed.

The chamber also will recognize the contributions of the 2002-2003 officers and directors.

The chamber also will present its "Contribution to Commerce" awards, presented to those businesses that have contributed to Carson City's economic efforts.

A veteran of the political playground scene, Durst has appeared at the Governors Conference and Mayor's Convention and has imitated such prominent figures such as former President George Bush Sr.

and former Vice President Al Gore.

The dinner will be at the Carson City Nugget and is open to chamber members and the public.

A social hour begins at 5:30 p.m.

and dinner will be served at 6:30 followed by the program.

Admission is $35 per person.
