A funeral service for Winfred "Win" Patrick Joseph Jones, 48, will be noon Wednesday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.
Mr. Jones, a 10-year resident of Carson City, died June 21, 2003, in Truckee, Calif.
Born in Inglewood, Calif., on March 16, 1955, to Thomas W. and Magdalene Lubos Jones, he lived in Torrance, Calif., for 35 years before moving to Carson City.
He attended Redondo Union High School and the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center during the five years he spent in the Coast Guard and reserve.
Mr. Jones worked at TRW Defense and Space Systems, Mallory, Mr. Gasket and Tahoe Pool and Spa.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his mother, Magda, on April 22, 1983 in Torrance.
He is survived by his father, Thomas W. of Carson City; his step-mother, Maria; sister and brother-in-law, Lillian F. Jones and Gualdino Rosa of Washoe Valley; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. Burial will take place at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
