Redundant opens Raleigh center

Redundant Networks of Reno has opened its new data center near Raleigh, N.C.

The North Carolina center and the company's data center in Reno are linked via multiple optical circuits.

This provides additional security for customers such as financial institutions that require uninterrupted access to their data.

Redundant also provides data-center services for companies that want to use only one of its two highly secure centers.

In a second announcement, Redundant Networks said it successfully the SAS70 audit overseen by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

The SAS70 certification is required by many financial service companies, said Janice Fetzer, general manager and chief operating officer of Redundant Networks.
