in Carson City, will retire on April 25.

Cole of Gardnerville, newly elected as a director of the company, will serve as temporary president and CEO.

He will work at least two days a week at the company.

Scott Martin, director of operations for the company since mid-2001, has been promoted to vice president and general manager.

He will oversee all company operations except finance on a day-to-day basis.

Financial operations will be the direct responsibility of the CEO.

Bob Boschert, who has served as acting president for the past three months, will become chairman of the Hytek board of directors.

Byrne, who will remain on the company's board, has worked at Hytek for 15 years, beginning as chief financial officer.

He has been president and CEO since 1994.

Hytek, a publicly held company, makes hybrid microelectronic circuits that are used in oil exploration, military applications, satellite systems, industrial electronics, opto-electronics and other applications.
